Zero Waste Workshop at Natural Grocers
ZERO WASTE DIY WITH LIVING LANDS & WATERS
Love yourself and the planet simultaneously in our self-care products series! Are you ready to ditch plastics? Would you love some earth-friendly inspiration? Are you seeking quality self-care products that don’t cost a fortune? Join Meghan Elgan and various Living Lands & Waters crew members for a night of learning, crafting and creating at Natural Grocers On January 25th from 5:00-8:00pm.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:
Plastic is the number one thing we remove from America’s rivers. Participants will learn about the global epidemic of plastic consumption and disposal. See also: what can and can’t be recycled (an often misunderstood process). Leave empowered with ways to make an everyday difference by making your own everyday household products. We’ll keep things simple and fun because that’s how we roll!
WHAT YOU’LL CREATE:
For our first Zero Waste DIY class, participants will choose from beeswax wrap cloths, deodorant (that actually works!), sugar body scrub and beard oil! Participants are encouraged to bring their own containers for each creation but we will provide extras as needed. Items that make great containers: empty deodorant tubes, small salsa jars or wide-mouth mason jars, leftover food containers (think cottage cheese, butter, etc.) and empty essential oil bottles.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN:
You will get creative in ways you didn’t even know you could! You’ll learn new things (because Meghan, one of our top educators, will be providing you with massive knowledge). You’ll meet new people, and people are what make the world go ‘round. And you’ll most certainly have fun with LL&W as we DIY our way into living more simply for ourselves and the planet.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Due to space limitations, this class will be capped at 15 participants on a first come, first serve basis. We ask that all participants are 18 years of age and older. Hope to see you there!
