Interested in having a Living Lands & Waters crew member visit your event or classroom? Each year during the months of December, January and February, our educators focus on outreach which means traveling to educate the public about LL&W and how others can become stewards of the river.

General Public Speaking
Living Lands & Water’s Educational Facilitator Mike Coyne-Logan will bring his presentation right to your location! With a focus on waste reduction, Mike will share the history of the organization and the story of founder Chad Pregracke! He will cover information about what it’s like to clean up garbage on the river, live on a barge for most of the year and show examples of bizarre items that we’ve found on the river.
*Please note, we ask for mileage expenses to be covered for locations further than 60 miles from the IL/IA Quad Cities. That being said, we do offer Skype and Facetime presentations!

For Upper Elementary / Middle School Students
Living Lands & Waters’ Educational Coordinator Kaitlyn Stricker will bring her presentation/hands-on activities to your school and recreate the workshop experience right in your classroom! She will share the history of the organization and the story of founder Chad Pregracke! Kaitlyn will cover information about what it’s like to clean up garbage on the river and live on a barge for most of the year. Her presentation will also bring a river-related science activity of your choice.
